 VISUAL LECTURES
Lecture 1 - 'The Radical Economics of John Ruskin' - This 'Dummies Guide' is a simplified version of a lecture first given by Henry in 2013 at VU University, Amsterdam at an International Conference of Christian Economists, Philosophers, Academics and Bankers seeking to explore solutions to the crisis in economics. The epoc of the 'Debt Age' and the rise of income inequality in all advanced economies are big iisues for our time and our children, and Ruskin's has lost none of his relevance to the debate. 'Ruskin opened my eyes,' Henry says, 'to the area of life that I thought was all boring numbers and grey suits. How wrong can you be! Economics flows from what we believe a human being is, and what kind of society we want. For hundreds of years we've believed lies and this current mess is the result. It's time for us all to re-think - radically rethink!'
Divided Minds  Lecture 2 - 'Divided Minds & Broken Hearts' - How an 'unlived' and distracted Victorian Christianity handed education to the secular state. Sounds dull but this has proved a paradigm shifting lecture, you will never think about education or government in the same way ever again.  Time 1hr or 1.5 hr options     ‘....Thought your lecture was great... did not disappoint... love the references, indeed the whole lecture.  An exhilarating exposé ....some little known and astonishing admissions that deserve to be better known.  If we took note of our history we might not be forced to repeat it....’ Dr Colin Slater BSc MB BS DCH. Principal of The European Academy for Christian Homeschooling  '..weaves a brilliant web: drawing on an astonishing volume of material...' Peter Klemperer Maths teacher, Wirral

Revolution  Lecture 3 - 'The Christian Revolution & the Humanist delusion' - charting the decline of western thought and culture.   Request a booking...A visual journey from ancient Greece through medieval, renaissance & enlightenment eras to the present day... in fact, a 'potted history of western civilisation for Dummies' showing that our current cultural exhaustion is nothing new and though 'gloomy' it may sound, this upbeat seminar concludes with Henry giving a concluding section from the words of Hillaire Belloc, 'Do not worry I beseech you about the rise in forces that are already in dissipation, you mistake the hour of night for it is already morning.'   Time 1hr or 3hr options    '...inspirational, creative and highly original communicator' Carol, Oxfordshire   Request a booking...
14 Giants  Lecture 4 - '14 Giants of Science' - discover the untold history of science; was there really a battle betweenscience and religion? Who were the true giants of the scientific revolution and who were it's real enemies?  This lecture answers Proff Steve Fuller's challenge that it was high time Christians reclaimed the history of Science from their parasitic-neodarwinist detractors. Timing 1.5 hrs     Request a booking...   '... a wonderful way of explaining complicated matters simply...' George 13, Carlisle    '......Really interesting talk, learned a lot, and it was great fun too!...' Hannah 15, Kent  '...a perceptive, coherent argument presented with refreshing and engaging humour & style...' Peter, Maths teacher, Wirral    '....really made them come alive to me, amazing...'  Laura 15, Carlisle  '..the only downside was that it didn't last longer..' Megan 12, Glasgow.
c.s.lewis  Lecture 5 - 'Mere Christianity' - a dummies guide to one of the greatest Christian books of the last century.  This is a lively condensing of C.S. Lewis' apologetics tour de force, showing to sceptic, seeker & believer alike that deep down we all know we and our world are not right. Furthermore that every culture in every age has had moral and ethical standards (amazingly similar) that they have not been able to keep.  These facts Lewis skillfully gets his audience to see without ever once referring to the bible.  He then goes through the implications of it all and how - once every other alternative is explored - Christianity comes out as the only world view that gives the correct diagnosis, prognosis and treatment.  2-3hr options Request a booking...
